You may also purchase them at the Center Monday through Friday between 1pm and 4pm. Note: These permits are not valid in UC public lots for sporting or special events.

Parking for Retirement Center Programs
Due to recent changes at Parking and Transportation, parking permits for Retirement Center programs are no longer made available at the East Gate or West Gate. The Center now has the permits (one-time use hang tags) on-hand to sell directly to you for $5 per day. You can now purchase and receive parking permits by mail or by coming to our office during walk-in hours (1p.m.-4p.m., Monday – Friday). In order to honor your request for program parking, we must receive your payment in our office at least one business week prior to the first day you need to park. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for purchased permits. If you purchase a permit for a specific program, but are unable to attend, save your permit for use at a future Center Program. Discounted program parking permits are only for use at Retirement Center Programs.

The following are frequently asked questions regarding our parking discounts for retirees:

1. How Many Permits May I Purchase?
You may purchase as many as you need to cover your enrollments in Retirement Center programs. For example, if your registration for Learning in Retirement courses and computer classes comes to thirteen dates, you may purchase thirteen permits in advance. Note: permits are not to be used on any other dates. They are also not for use at non-Retirement Center programs.

2. What If I Need to Park for an evening or weekend program?
We offer Night/Weekend permits (also $5 per day) by mail through our office.

3. Which Form of Payment May I Use?
Currently we can only accept checks by mail, and cash and checks in the office.

4. How Can I Purchase Permits By Mail?
Mail one of the enclosed forms with your check, made out to UC Regents.

5. Can I Give My Permits to Someone Else?
If you miss a class, you may hold the permit and use it for another class, or give it to another registered participant.
